Federal Escapee Captured
Officers from various agencies worked together and capture a subject wanted for Federal Escape and State Parole Violation.

At approximately 1:00 p.m. U. S. Marshals spotted a wanted person in Odessa. Dan Larry Ward (DOB 07-30-67) was wanted for Federal Escape and State Parole Violation.  Ward eluded the Marshals who immediately put out an Attempt to Locate to all area law enforcement agencies. 

At Approximately 2:24 p.m. an Odessa Police Officer who was off duty, observed Ward and the vehicle at a business at 5300 W. Wadley Avenue.  The OPD Officer immediately called Midland Police.  Uniformed and Non Uniformed MPD Officers set up at the scene.  Ward exited the business where he was arrested without incident or injury.

Ward was in custody at 2:39 p.m. and turned over to the U. S. Marshals. Ward will be charged with Federal Escape, State Parole Violation and Felon in possession of a firearm.
