On the City’s homepage, www.MidlandTexas.gov, you can click on the Midland Maps feature on the right hand column under Online Services.  The maps are broken up into five sections.

Planning and Engineering Information includes zoning classifications, floodplain maps, demographics, voting districts, and more.

Economic Development Information includes current development, future development, digital aerial photography, and more.

Resident Information includes layered maps with park and school locations, park amenities, garbage pickup days, and more.

Visitor Information includes major retail store locations, major restaurant locations, ATM locations, neighborhoods, area attractions, and more.

Crime Information includes an interactive map with registered sex offenders, and different types of crime throughout the city for the last week, two weeks, or three weeks.

The maps are great tools for residents as well as those looking to visit Midland for Christmas shopping and to visit with family.

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Downtown Midland.  Crews are hanging decorations along Wall Street today, Monday, November 19, 2007.  City workers will begin at Weatherford and work west to Garfield.

136 wreaths, eight strands of garland, and a 15-foot snowman will help decorate the City.  A total of 170 man-hours will be spent hanging the decorations.

This is the third year for these decorations as they were purchased in 2005.  The decorations will be removed in early January.
