WADLEY RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT UPDATE
If you have traveled through the intersection of Wadley Avenue and Midkiff Road recently, you’ve noticed traffic congestion in the construction area.  Motorists can be assured that the situation is temporary and part of the overall reconstruction project taking place along Wadley Avenue.

The entire project includes new pavement and surfacing from Godfrey to Loop 250 and from A Street to I Street.  Three intersections are being repaved as well – A Street and Wadley (completed), and Midland Drive and Wadley (completed), and Midkiff and Wadley (under construction).

Contractors anticipate working at the Wadley/Midkiff intersection through January depending on the weather.  In addition, during the week of January 21, contractors will be paving A Street through I Street.

The overall project is 75% complete with an end date set for mid-March.  The end result will be a smoother driving surface with a projected life of 25 years.

Motorists are advised to avoid construction areas and choose an alternate route.
