HOUSE FIRE UPDATE
A Midland woman burned over 75% of her body in a house fire yesterday remains in critical condition at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

28-year-old Karrie Carrillo was at home alone yesterday when neighbors noticed the flames near the front porch of her mobile home.

The Midland Fire Department responded to the call at approximately 4:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of E. Cuthbert.

Two mobile homes were destroyed and two more were damaged.  Two city blocks were evacuated temporarily until the fire was extinguished.

No cause has been determined in the fire.  The investigation continues.
