CITIZENS FIRE ACADEMY
The Midland Fire Department is looking for residents interested in enrolling in the next Citizens Fire Academy.  The class is scheduled to begin on March 27, 2008, and run for ten weeks.

Students meet every Thursday evening for two to three hours during the ten-week period.  Enrollment in the class is FREE.

The Citizens Fire Academy was developed to inform and educate the citizens of Midland about their Fire Department.  Participants will learn the basics of fire behavior and how to control it, along with information about how firefighters are trained to save the lives of fellow Midlanders. Students will learn how to operate a fire engine and actually pump water at a real fire scene.

Anyone interested in participating should fill out an application.  Applications are available at the Central Fire Station or by calling 685.7338.
