NEIGHBORHOOD PARK RENOVATIONS
City of Midland Parks employees are putting the finishing touches on a new and improved park for residents.  Henderson Park, 4701 Graceland, will be ready in time for children wanting a place to play after school today, Monday, March 31, 2008.

Henderson Park now features the popular rock wall, a spinner, and new playground equipment.

The project is one of three neighborhood parks that will be upgraded this year.  The other two scheduled are Sidwell and Ida Jo Moore.  The park improvements are part of the Parks Master Plan.  Each park is estimated to have a 20-year life span.  The new preventative maintenance plan will target each of Midland’s parks to be renovated before the end of their lifespan.  Each year, three parks will be scheduled for an upgrade.
