FATALITY ACCIDENT
Midland Police were called to the scene of an accident today, April 18, 2008, at approximately 8:40 a.m. in the 3200 block of Midkiff.

A white Ford pick-up truck was headed southbound on Midkiff.  A grey Buick was traveling NB on Midkiff and attempted to make a turn into the HEB parking lot.  The Buick turned into the oncoming truck. 

The driver of the truck was not injured.  Both the driver and passenger of the car were transported to Midland Memorial Hospital where they later died.  They are indentified as 77-year-old Geraldine Stroud, the driver, and 82-year-old Julian Stroud.  The couple was from Midland.

This is Midland’s third fatality accident this year and third and fourth victims.
