CITY POOL SCHEDULE
The City of Midland’s pools will be opening for the 2008 summer season.
Washington Aquatic Center, 1601 E. Indiana
Swim season: Saturday, May 31 through Sunday, August 25 and Saturday, August 30-Monday, September 1
Open Swim: Monday-Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Family Swim: Tues., Thurs.: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Doug Russell Pool, 900 N. Midland Dr.
Swim season: Saturday, May 31 through Friday, August 23
Open Swim: Monday-Sunday 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Family Swim: Tues., Thurs.: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Fees at both pools will be:
All ages - $1.00
Swim Lessons at Washington Aquatic Center: Mon – Fri., June 23 through July 3; July 7 through July 18; July 21 through August 1; August 4 through August 15. Registration will take place at Washington Aquatic Center beginning Saturday, May 24. Fee: $25/session
Season pool passes can be purchased at either location. Individual season passes are $25 and family passes are $75. Private pool parties and picnic tables are available for rental at either pool.

ASSAULTS
A man wanted in connection with a string of Assaults on Midland women was arrested today in Odessa. Odessa Police arrested the man following a similar incident at an apartment complex in Odessa.
34-year-old Jaime Lara Arenivas (11-08-73) was arrested after the Assault early this morning, June 5, 2008.
Detectives working the cases in Midland have shown a picture of Arenivas in a photo line up to multiple Midland victims. They have identified him as being the attacker.
Arenivas could face multiple Assault charges in Midland as well.
Eight different reports were made in Midland describing what police believe to be the same suspect. The incidents occurred during the past several month with the most recent occurring on May 12th.

Female victim was walking though the complex when followed by a male suspect.
- 1902 N. Midland Dr. Hunter’s Glen Apartments 6:30 a.m.
Two separate victims report the suspect approached them from behind and attempted to touch their breast area.
- 4400 Andrews Highway Forty-Four Hundred Apts. 4:00 a.m.
Female victim reported being approached from behind by the suspect and he grabbed her breast area.
- 2800 block N. Midland Dr.
Female victim was walking along Midland Drive when the suspect approached her.
- 3417 N. Midland Dr. Northridge Court Apts.
Early morning and 9:30 p.m.
Three separate female victims reported being approached by the suspect and grabbed in their breast area. The most recent occurred on Monday, May 12, at 9:30 p.m.
