TORCH RUN FUNDRAISER
Midland Police Officers will team up with Odessa Officers to raise money for a good cause. On Thursday, June 12, 2008, from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., officers will wait tables at the Texas Roadhouse on Loop 250 in Midland. All the tips, as well as a portion of the sales, will be donated to the Texas Special Olympics.
The event is part of the ongoing efforts by local public safety officials to support the Special Olympics. At the 2008 Texas Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run Summer Games in Arlington, Texas, members of the Midland Police and Midland Fire Departments were recognized for raising the most funds in the state for the mid-sized agency category.

The City of Midland Health Department is reminding all parents to think ahead, get vaccinations up to date now, at the beginning of summer, before the rush at the end of summer.
