SECOND SUSPECT ARRESTED
Midland Police arrested a second suspect in connection with yesterday’s shooting.  27-year-old Derome Williams (9-18-80) was arrested last night, September 3, 2008, for Burglary of a Habitation with the Intent to Commit another Felony.

The shooting occurred at 3:40 a.m. yesterday at 1205 E. Parker.  When officers arrived at the scene, they found 18-year-old Tervouria Shaw with a gunshot wound to the upper leg.  The investigation revealed that two black male suspects, wearing masks and gloves, forced their way into the residence by kicking in the front door.  A third suspect forced his way in through the victim’s bedroom window.  One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.  It is unknown what type of weapons the other two had.  The suspects asked Shaw for property before one suspect fired the handgun, striking him in the leg.  They did not take anything from the residence.

Shaw was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police quickly identified two of the suspects earlier.  First arrested was 29-year-old Jarvis Johnson (6-11-79). A third suspect is still at large.

The investigation continues.
