FATALITY
Midland Police were called to the scene of a Fatality accident at approximately 2:31 a.m. on November 14, 2008.

A 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling east on Delano approaching the Midkiff intersection.  A 2008 Pontiac G6 was chasing the Tahoe with both vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed.  The Tahoe failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign and struck a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon in the passenger door.  The collision forced the Tiburon to strike a parked Ford Taurus at 3225 Delano.  The Taurus struck a parked vehicle next to it, a Ford Explorer.  The Taurus then struck the house.

The passenger of the Tiburon, 37-year-old Bobby Waldrop, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Tahoe, 26-year-old Isaias Ibarra (2-28-82), was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter.

The driver of the G6, 24-year-old Kristy Pando-Ibarra (2-3-84), was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital and charged with Involuntary Manslaughter.

The passenger of the G6 was not injured.

The driver of the Tiburon, 22-year-old Nathan Hernandez (3-24-86) was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital and charged with DWI.  Although his intoxication did not cause the accident, he was found to be driving under the influence.

Investigators believe Isaias Ibarra and Kristy Pando-Ibarra, husband and wife, were in a disturbance and Pando-Ibarra was chasing her husband when the accident occurred.
