BUGLARY ARRESTS
Midland Police have made two arrests in connection with the Burglary of the Super Mercado on December 3, 2008.

Two 15-year-old male juveniles have been charged with Burglary of a Building.  There is a possible third arrest pending the outcome of the investigation.  The teenagers broke into the store around 11:15 p.m. on the night of December 3, stealing seven 30 packs of beer as well as tobacco.

A tip was received after someone watched the surveillance video on You Tube.  The Midland Police Department created a You Tube channel back in October in an effort to reach more people.  Since the video of the Super Mercado Burglary was posted, 697 people have viewed the crime.

Just this week, the MPD posted a new surveillance video in hopes of receiving tips that identify the persons involved.  The MPD is attempting to identify two suspects in a purse theft and credit card abuse case. On December 1, 2008, a victim’s purse was stolen from Midland Memorial Hospital, 2200 W. Illinois. On December 4, 2008, at approximately 6:14 p.m., two black female suspects used a credit card from the stolen purse.  The suspects used the credit card at Target, 4001 N. Midland Drive.

You can view MPD’s You Tube site by visiting the City’s website at www.midlandtexas.gov, then clicking on a link on the left hand side of the page.
