FEBRUARY SALES TAX REVENUES
The City of Midland has collected this month's revenue from the State Comptroller's Office. The total amount of revenue received was $3,076,655.
This month's figure reflects a 24.37% increase or a $602,785 increase from February 2008.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2008-2009 is up 21.93% or a $2,193,235 increase from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $12,192,667.
This is the largest monthly collection ever received by the City of Midland.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; February collection is based on December sales.
This is the 65th consecutive month of increased sales tax revenues when compared to the same month the prior year.
