WARRANT ROUNDUP
Representatives of law enforcement agencies and courts in Midland, Midland County, Odessa, and Ector County, will join together to announce details about the Third Annual Great Texas Warrant Roundup.  A news conference will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the Center for Energy and Economic Diversification, 1400 N. FM 1788.

The roundup, which actually takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2009, is designed to target thousands of defendants with traffic, parking, city ordinance, penal code, and higher charge warrants from more than 130 participating Texas law enforcement agencies.  This includes defendants who have not appeared in court as required or have failed to pay as agreed.

Representatives from both Midland and Odessa will be available for interviews regarding the roundup.

CITY HOLIDAY
The City of Midland will observe the President’s Day on Monday, February 16, 2009.

In observance of this holiday, City of Midland offices will be closed.

All Monday trash pickups will move to Tuesday and all Tuesday pickups will move to Wednesday.  Normal service will resume on Thursday and Friday.  Visit www.midlandtexas.gov for a complete trash pickup schedule. 

Emergency personnel will work normal shifts to provide services to the community.
