FATALITY
The Midland Police Department was called to the scene of a fatality at approximately 10:45 p.m. in the east parking lot of Grande Stadium.
When officers arrived, they found one male deceased from an apparent motorcycle accident. The preliminary investigation reveals that the 2006 Honda CBR 1000RR was driven by 21-year-old Anthony Logan of Midland. Logan was traveling northbound in the parking lot, attempted to avoid a curve, locked up the breaks and slid on his back before striking a curb.
Investigators believe it was more than an hour later when a passing motorist notified police. Logan was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace George Zimmerman. He was wearing a helmet. Logan was the only passenger on the motorcycle and no other vehicles were involved.
