NO CELL PHONES!
It is official…the City of Midland will begin to install signage on all school zone signs notifying motorists CELL PHONE USE PROHIBITED in school zone areas.

The statewide law went into effect on September 1, 2009. Midland will begin to install its first batch of signs on Monday, October 19, 2009. The 55 signs will first appear along major streets and around high school areas. The remaining 375 signs are expected to be delivered and installed during the next several months.

If ticketed for such an offense, fines can reach up to $200.
