KIDNAPPING
On Thursday, November 12, 2009, at approximately 12:00 p.m., a 15-year-old Hispanic female was eating lunch with friends at Wendy's, 902 Andrew’s Highway, when her ex-boyfriend, 17-year-old Rafael Alejandro Dominguez, 11-3-92, walked in wanting to start a fight with another male in her group.

Dominguez and the other male started to walk outside when Dominguez went to his vehicle.  The other male, fearing Dominguez may have a weapon, retreated back to the restaurant.  The 15-year-old female walked to his vehicle to calm him down.  When she got close to the vehicle, Dominguez forced her into the teal green 1998 GMC pickup.

Dominguez fled the scene with the victim taking her to Big Spring, Texas.  The victim was taken to a roadside park on South Highway 87 and FM 33 in Howard County.  The victim was held there for several hours, the victim was missing for over 10 hours.  She was finally able to convince Dominguez to release her to her relatives.

The family drove to Big Spring and located the victim and Dominguez.  Dominguez was lost so he followed the victim and her family.  In the course of this event a Howard County Deputy spotted the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop it.  A short pursuit ensued and Dominguez was apprehended and transported to the Howard County Jail.  He is still in custody there on the Evading Arrest charge and the MPD’s Kidnapping charge.
