UNITED AIRLINES DEAL TAKES OFF
Confirming the September statement made by United Airlines, Midland International Airport today announces the contracts have been negotiated and signed and new non-stop service from Midland to Denver, Colorado on United Airlines, will start December 17, 2009.
“We are very excited about adding these new non-stop flights, which will not only provide daily service to Denver, but to connecting flights throughout the United States and the world. We are extremely pleased for this service to be offered to Midland/Odessa and the communities in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico who will all benefit from these flights,” stated Marv Esterly, Director of Airports.
The twice daily service on United Express will be operated by Skywest Airlines with Bombardier Canadair CRJ-200, a 50 seat regional jet.

CITY CONGRATULATES KMB DIRECTOR
The City of Midland is recognizing the Executive Director of Keep Midland Beautiful for her recent award.
Doreen Richardson was honored on December 3 with the Professional Leadership Award at this year’s annual Keep America Beautiful National Conference.
The Professional Leadership Award is Keep America Beautiful’s highest professional honor and is given annually to Keep America Beautiful affiliate directors who have built and sustained a local or state program with outstanding success. Through their contributions to the national network of affiliates, those honored have furthered the goals of Keep America Beautiful by developing training initiatives, establishing model programs, and fostering long-term partnerships between the public and private sectors.
The City of Midland is proud of its partnership with Keep Midland Beautiful which provides a variety of services to the community.
