HISTORICAL COMMISSION TOURS MIDLAND
The City of Midland will welcome a delegation with the Texas Historical Commission on January 14, 2010. They will be in the city through January 16, 2010.
The group will conduct a board meeting and will tour Downtown Midland with an eye on “mid-century modern office” buildings. Two local architects from Rhottenberry/Wellen will provide the architectural details and the City’s planning staff will talk about downtown revitalization efforts.
It is considered an honor and great opportunity for the group to visit Midland.
The Texas Historical Commission (THC) works to save the real places that tell the real stories of Texas. THC staff consults with citizens and organizations to preserve Texas’ architectural, archeological and cultural landmarks. The agency is recognized nationally for its preservation programs.
