HOME INVASIONS
The Midland Police Department is currently investigating one home invasion in the 2400 block of West Dengar that occurred on January 3, 2010, at 1:55 a.m.  Three males described as:

#1 w/m in his 20's, 5'8, 165lbs, black hair styled in cornrow braids that hang down to his shoulders.

#2 w/m 6'2 225lbs, mid 20's short black hair

#3 w/m 5'10, medium build, short black hair

Witnesses reported seeing a 2009 Ford King Ranch Edition long bed pickup leave the area.

The victim did suffer some injuries as a result of the physical assault that required a trip to the emergency room, where he was treated and released.

In addition, there have been other cases that are being classified as "Home Invasions." However in these cases, no one actually entered the residences. 

3300 block of Woodhaven

3600 block of Woodhaven

4700 block of Rosewood Drive

5200 block of Hilltop Drive

5700 Crowley

The time frame for all these cases is between December 31, 2009, and January 19, 2010.  The time range varies from 9:47 p.m. to 4:16 a.m.

In these cases the front doors were kicked in however no entry was made. The people responsible for these crimes can face Burglary of a Residence charges with Intent to Commit another Felony if the home owner or other occupants are home.

The Midland Police Department is alerting the public that these crimes are happening all over the city, to raise awareness and to be vigilant of your surroundings, and take note of suspicious activity in your neighborhoods and report it immediately.  These cases are currently under investigation. Anyone with information should contact the Midland Police Department at 685.7108 or Midland Crime Stoppers at 694.TIPS.

If the crime is in progress, call 911 immediately.
