AGGRAVATED ROBBERIES ARREST
The Midland Police Department made an arrest in the recent rash of Aggravated Robberies taking place from April 24, 2010, through May 4, 2010.
 
Marshall Wayne Lewins (11-3-66) was arrested after an extensive investigation involving several detectives following leads which included several Crime Stoppers tips. Witnesses in the robberies were able to identify Lewins as the robbery suspect which led to the filing of Aggravated Robbery Charges in three of the five cases so far.
 
Lewins has been charged in the following robberies:
Knights Inn 1003 S. Midkiff (reported on 5-2-10)
Comfort Inn 902 W. I-20 (reported on 5-4-10)
 
Marshall Lewins is currently in the Midland County Detention Center.
 
Another arrest warrant is pending for the IHOP robbery (301 E. I-20) which occurred on 5-3-10.
 
Detectives are still working on the Pizza Hut (427 Andrews Hwy. which occurred on 5-2-10) and Taylor Petroleum (808 S. Big Spring which occurred on 4-24-10).
