Midland International Airport Arrival Time

The City of Midland, Department of Airports, wants to remind all passengers departing Midland International Airport to arrive early for their flights.  Due to an increase in early morning travel, there have been times when passengers have missed flights due to late arrivals at the Airport.

There are currently three departures between 6:40 a.m. and 7:10 a.m. and passengers for these flights need to arrive at the Airport no later than 5:30 a.m. to ensure that they make it to the gate in time for departure.

Water Variance Application

The City of Midland has a variance form available online or in Code Enforcement Offices at City Hall, 300 N. Loraine, for residents to use if they have a circumstance that they need to water outside of the required water restrictions.

For clarification, this variance application is not for the water rates it specifically applies to the restriction schedule only.

Transportation Division Striping Roadways

The City of Midland Transportation Division has entered into striping season.  All of the arterial streets are striped twice a year.  Collectors are striped at least once a year.

Motorists should see the division out striping on most good weather days and the street striping should be done in about a month.

For safety, motorists are encouraged to stay at least two car lengths behind the shadow vehicle.  The shadow vehicle is the vehicle that follows directly behind the paint truck.
