We are committed to protecting your privacy. Only authorized employees within the City of Midland on a need to know basis may use any information collected from individual users. We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible service to our users.

This statement describes the City of Midland, Texas privacy practices regarding information collected from and provided to visitors of www.MidlandTexas.gov, all departmental sites contained within it and any other social media applications maintained by the City of Midland. E-Mail Request for Information
The City of Midland links throughout the site are to provide you with the opportunity to contact the City by use of e-mail to ask questions, request information and materials, or provide comments and suggestions. You may also request the opportunity to have one or more employees contact you personally in order to provide additional information about City services. To do so, the City may request additional personal information from you in order to help satisfy your request. The information requested will not be rented or sold to outside firms for any purpose.

Employment
When you apply online for a City of Midland job opportunity the following information will be collected: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, employment history, education and reference information. This information is collected solely for the purpose of filling job openings. This information is shared with department personal who are directly involved in the hiring process. The City of Midland employment web site is maintained by HR Smart. When apply for a City job you are subject to the HR Smart Privacy Policy in addition to this statement.

E-Commerce Tracking of Online Transactions
For online government transactions conducted on this site, you will be asked to enter certain information about yourself. The specifics of this information will vary as required by the type of transaction. The information requested will include the same information that would be requested if you performed the identical transaction in person rather than online. Whenever personal information is requested from you on this site, there will be an indication of whether the disclosure of such information is mandatory or optional. Twitter
You can follow the City of Midland on Twitter at www.Twitter.com/CityofMidland. The City of Midland does not follow users who follow us on Twitter. Therefore we cannot and do not receive “Direct Messages” on Twitter.

The City of Midland's Twitter account is maintained and monitored by the Public Information Officer and the Multimedia Developer. The City of Midland will not respond via Twitter to press inquiries or other citizen matters. While we hope you will follow us on Twitter, we are unable to respond to questions on Twitter.  We don’t have the staff resources to do so.  If you have a question, concern or comment, we encourage you to visit www.midlandtexas.gov/contact.html.

The City of Midland does not necessarily agree with content posted by Twitter Followers. Nothing in any Twitter page constitutes a binding representation, agreement or an endorsement on the part of the City of Midland. YouTube
You can subscribe to the City of Midland’s YouTube Channel at www.youtube.com/cityofmidland. Videos posted on the City of Midland’s YouTube Channel are either produced by the City of Midland or the City of Midland has been given the rights to post and broadcast outside/contract produced videos.

While you do have the ability to embed videos into your own web pages, the City of Midland has disabled all commenting and rating features. If you have a question, comment or concern, please visit www.midlandtexas.gov/contact.html. The City of Midland will not respond via YouTube to press inquiries or other citizen matters. While we hope you will subscribe to our Channel, we do not have the staff necessary to monitor ratings and comments.

Nothing in any YouTube page constitutes a binding representation, agreement or an endorsement on the part of the City of Midland. The City will block and/or report a user who violates any of the YouTube Community Guidelines.
