FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: GUNSHOT VICTIM
Midland, TX – On Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at approximately 4:19 p.m., officers with the Midland Police Department responded to a call regarding a gunshot victim in the 1900 block of E. Scharbauer Dr.
On arrival, police discovered a deceased male, Morgan Osborne, 17 years old, from Midland, with a single gunshot wound.
Police determined two juvenile males had fled the scene with the firearm involved in the shooting. The suspects were identified and later arrested for tampering with evidence.
The investigation is ongoing.
The next of kin has been notified.
The body has been sent to the Dallas Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy.
