Future Downtown Parking Management

Currently, all public parking shown above is free. However, Midland City Council has approved an ordinance allowing the City to implement paid parking in certain high-demand areas of downtown. City staff is actively working on implementation.

The program is intended to:

  • Improve parking availability and turnover
  • Ensure prime parking spaces remain available for visitors and customers
  • Support continued activity and growth in downtown Midland

Paid parking will focus on areas with the highest demand, while maintaining accessible parking options throughout downtown.

Additional details will be shared with the public before the program is activated.
