MPD: DOWNTOWN PARKING ENFORCEMENT EFFORTS TAKING PLACE

The City of Midland and the Midland Police Department want to remind residents that downtown parking enforcement efforts are taking place.
Those efforts include the citing and possible towing of vehicles that:
- Park in the continuous left turn lane.
- Park outside painted parking spaces where the curb is painted yellow.
Also, the following vehicles are subject to a citation and tow:
- Vehicles parked in the signed and painted freight zones without a freight zone permit. (These zones are marked by white curb paint and posted signage indicating a tow-away zone.)
- Vehicles parked illegally in handicap parking locations.
Residents or businesses needing an application for a freight loading zone permit can obtain one from the Midland Police Department.
