MIDLAND ANIMAL SERVICES TO PARTNER WITH PETCO LOVE LOST

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- Midland Animal Services is excited to announce a partnership with Petco Love Lost. 

This initiative provides residents a central place to report, search, and share information about lost and found pets. It simplifies the search process and increases the chances of reuniting pets with their owners.

Midland Animal Services has added links to its website where residents can report their lost and found pets. Additionally, Petco Love Lost now integrates with the Nextdoor app, further expanding the city’s reach within the community.

"Petco Love Lost is a free, online database that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help reunite lost pets with their owners. The platform employs patented facial recognition technology to compare uploaded photos of missing pets to photos of animals in participating shelters and with neighbors in the community. The software analyzes a pet's size, color, facial features, and coat attributes to determine if a match is found. Initial results are usually available in less than a minute,” according to information provided by Petco Love Lost.
