AIRPORT: RECORD 740,000-PLUS BOARD AIRLINES AT MIDLAND INTERNATIONAL IN FY 2024

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- Passengers boarding airlines at Midland International Air & Space Port topped 700,000 for the first time in a year during fiscal year 2024.
Airport officials reported passengers boarding Southwest Airlines, American Eagle, United and Delta topped 60,000 in September (60,597 – a 4.27% increase compared to FY 2023) and reached 740,219 in FY 2024 (an 11.84% increase compared the FY 2023).
In addition to a new record for passengers, Airport officials showed $8.271 million in parking revenues during FY 2024 – a 15.26% increase compared to $7.176 million in FY 2023.
Leading the way in FY 2024 was Southwest Airlines with 354,928 total passengers – 47.9% of the total of the four airlines at MAF.
The fiscal year for the City of Midland begins in October and continues through the following September.
