MIDLAND LAUNCHES NEW FACILITY RENTAL WEBSITE
(December 8, 2025)
MIDLAND, TEXAS — Midland Parks & Recreation today announced the launch of its new facility booking system, powered by Rec Technologies, the recreation software modernizing how America plays. The new platform enables residents to discover, register, and pay for facility rentals – from parks to sports fields – directly from their phones, transforming how the community connects with recreation.
“The new modernized software allows citizens to utilize their available technology to make a reservation at any time - day or night.” said Parks and Recreation Director Laurie Williams. “Our residents can now reserve the facilities they need in minutes, from their computer or their phone.”
The new platform represents a significant step forward for digital accessibility and community engagement for Midland. The system replaces the need for in-person registration, phone payments, and overlapping facility bookings. The department expects the new platform to increase participation, streamline staff workflows, and improve resident satisfaction.
“Cities like Midland are proving that when you make recreation easier to access, entire communities benefit,” said Birju Kadakia, co-founder and CEO of Rec Technologies. “We’re proud to partner with Parks & Recreation departments like Midland who are redefining what recreation should look like and bringing new opportunities to their residents.”
Residents can now view and book across dozens of facilities, including parks, auditoriums, gyms, practice and game fields, and more at rec.us/Midland.
