Airlines continue record run at Midland International Air & Space Port

AIRLINES' RECORD RUN AT MIDLAND INTERNATIONAL AIR & SPACE PORT CONTINUES

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- For the second-straight month, the number of passengers flying airlines out of Midland International Air & Space Port topped 70,000.

Airport officials reported another month over the previously unreachable number with 70,244 passengers flying Southwest Airlines, American Eagle, United or Delta out of Midland during the month of July.

The July total was 14.5% higher than July 2023 and raises the fiscal year total to 615,918, which is not only 12.71% higher than FY 2023 but basically guarantees a new yearly record will be set at Midland International Air & Space Port. Last year, the record of 661,842 was established. There are two months left in the fiscal year.

Parking revenues also have increased. The City of Midland shows more than $800,000 in net parking revenues. The total of $807,270 is 15.72% higher than July 2023. Nearly $7 million has been collected this fiscal year – a 15.68% increase compared to the first 10 months of fiscal year 2023.
