EZ-RIDER USE IN MIDLAND CONTINUES GROWTH COMPARED TO 2023

MIDLAND-ODESSA -- EZ-Rider fixed-route ridership was up by 10.61% in September (compared to September 2023), according to the Midland-Odessa Urban Transit District.
The MOUTD reported that fixed-route public transportation use in Midland in 2024 dropped from more than 12,000 in July and August to 10,713 in September. Still ridership in September is up from 9,685 in September 2023.
Also, the MOUTD reported fixed-route ridership in Midland is up 6.5% compared to Odessa and paratransit ridership in 11.1% year-over-year in Midland.
EZ-Rider is the bus system in both Midland and Odessa. The Midland-Odessa Urban Transit District operates the system. The City of Midland helps fund EZ-Rider operations.
