Airport passengers increase at Midland International Air & Space Port

AIRPORT STARTS OF FISCAL YEAR WITH BANNER PASSENGERS REPORT

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- Midland International Air & Space Port followed up a record year with a stellar October.

The City of Midland reported a 7.62% increase in passengers in October. The 67,381 passengers topped the 62,609 in October 2023 and started the fiscal year in style.

Southwest again led the way with 44.5% of the total revenue passengers, but American Eagle’s growth year over year (27.0%) was the reason for the increase in passengers in October 2024 (compared to 2024). American Eagle revenue passenger count increased from 14,779 to 18,770.

In addition to a banner record for passengers, Airport officials showed $755,808 in parking revenues in October, a 6.78% increase compared to October 2023.

The fiscal year for the City of Midland begins in October and continues through the following September.
