Airline passengers leaving MAF continue to climb

AIRLINE PASSENGERS, PARKING REVENUES SHOW GAINS IN NOVEMBER

(Dec. 17, 2024) 

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The increases continued at Midland International Air & Space Port.

Airport officials announced last week that those boarding an airline in November rose 4.33% – reaching 63,233, which topped the 60,600 in November 2023. An increase in November meant the number of passengers through the first two months of the fiscal year has increased 6% -- or by more than 7,000 passengers -- to 130,604.

Southwest again led the way with 46.3% of the total passenger count. American Eagle and United rounded out the top three (26.7% and 23.11%, respectively). In addition to a banner record for passengers, Airport officials showed $677,511 in net parking revenues in November, a 3.17% increase compared to November 2023.

The fiscal year for the City of Midland begins in October and continues through the following September.
