Basin Beautification Project presents Basin Action Day

BASIN ACTION DAY ALLOWS RESIDENTS TO HELP CLEAN UP MIDLAND

(Nov. 10, 2025)

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The City of Midland will be among the entities participating Saturday (Nov. 15, 2025) in the first Basin Action Day, brought to you by the Basin Beautification Project.

Other organizations participating from 9 a.m. to noon include Midland County, the City of Odessa and Ector County. 

There is still time for Midland residents to register and take part as an individual or with a team. All ages are welcome, and cleanup supplies — such as safety vests, gloves and trash bags — will be provided.

In addition to cleanups at various locations across the region, the events of Basin Action Day include:

  • Midland County Trash Drop-Off Event, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Midland County Road and Bridge, 2435 E. Highway 80, will accept items including oil (up to five gallons), tires (limit of 12), large trash, batteries, prescriptions and more.
  • Keep Midland Beautiful Texas Recycles Day, 9 a.m. to noon, Midland College Chap Center parking lot. Accepting electronics, tires (limit 6) and more.
  • A volunteer luncheon at noon at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center. 

Similar events are taking place in Odessa and Ector County.
