Midland Police investigate family dog attack

MPD: FAMILY DOG RESPONSIBLE FOR ATTACK ON CHILD

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- At approximately 10:07 a.m. Sunday, March 3, 2024, Midland Police responded to a dog attack in the 400 block of Cedar Avenue.

Midland Police Department officers reported that a 3-year-old boy had been attacked by at least one of the family’s dogs and suffered bite marks all over his body including his neck and head.

EMS transported the victim to Midland Memorial Hospital, where personnel were able to stabilize him and then airlift him to Lubbock.

Midland police reported the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Animal Services also reported to scene, according to city officials.
