TxDOT: ‘A’ STREET-LOOP 250 CLOSURE TO BEGIN ON MAY 28

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The Texas Department of Transportation – Midland Area Office is scheduled to begin construction at the intersection of North “A” Street and South Loop 250 next week.

Closures are scheduled to begin on Tuesday (May 28, 2024) and will remain until mid-Fall 2024.

This project encompasses a comprehensive scope of work, including the reconstruction and addition of an acceleration lane, installation of concrete medians and slotted curbs, relocation of electrical ground box, replacement of drainage structures, and resurfacing of North "A" Street under South Loop 250 and South Loop 250 Eastbound Frontage Road.

Construction activities are scheduled to commence in late May 2024 with an anticipated completion of mid-Fall 2024. Please note that these dates are estimates and subject to change due to weather events and unforeseen conditions.

The project will require the closure of the following:

1. “A” Street Exit Ramp along South Loop 250 in the Eastbound direction.

2. Access from North “A” Street to South Loop 250 Eastbound Frontage Road.

3. U-turn from South Loop 250 in the Westbound direction at North “A” Street.
