PARKS AND RECREATION TO HOST PEE WEE BASKETBALL LEAGUE

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- Registration is now open for Midland Parks and Recreation Division’s Pee Wee Basketball League.

Designed to teach fundamentals to boys and girls -- ages 4-6 -- the Pee Wee Basketball League will begin Dec. 9, 2024, and continue through Jan. 30, 2025.

Registration for the league is $35 per child and is open through Dec. 5 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 2300 Butternut Lane. The league is limited to the first 60 registrants. Registration can take place online at www.midlandtexas.gov/peewee or in person at either the MLK Community Center or the Parks Office, 2701 W. Elizabeth St.

Games and practices will be held in the evenings during the week. Registration includes five guaranteed games, a T-shirt and an award. Volunteer coaches are still needed and must be good with children and have basic basketball knowledge.
