Midkiff Road at Interstate 20:
The City will install all-way stop signs along Midkiff Road where it intersects with the north and south service roads of Interstate 20 on Saturday, Oct. 25. Drivers are advised to avoid this interchange throughout the day due to intermittent lane closures while City crews install new signs and markings.
Utility Extension Program:
The City’s Contractor is working at various locations:
• West Hicks Avenue between Moran Street and Goode Street: During the project, West Hicks Avenue may be temporarily closed or reduced to a single lane. The intersections at Moran Street, Johnston Street and Goode Street may also have partial closures.
• Alley immediately north of West Hicks Avenue between Moran Street and Goode Street: During the project, Goode Street and Johnston Street may be temporarily closed or reduced to a single lane. They alley between Goode Street and Moran Street may also have partial closures.
• Between Scharbauer Drive and Elm Avenue, east of Lamesa Road: During the project, Scharbauer Drive and Elm Avenue may be temporarily closed or reduced to a single lane.
• South Mineola Street between east Industrial Avenue and east Wall Street: During the project, south Mineola Street may be temporarily closed or reduced to a single lane. The intersections at east Industrial Avenue, east Wall Street and east Texas Avenue may also have partial closures.
Lamesa Road Pavement Reconstruction:
The City’s Contractor is scheduled to adjust some manholes that have settled along Lamesa Road between Parker Avenue and Cuthbert Street. There will be daytime single lane closures at the locations of the manholes they are working on.
COMPASS: City-Wide Paving:
The City’s Contractor is working at various locations:
• Colorado Street between Stokes Avenue and Gist Avenue will have minimum traffic interruptions for sidewalk work.
• Stokes Avenue between Belmont Street and Main Street will have partial lane closures for water valve adjustments.
