Midland Fire Department responds to travel trailer fire

MIDLAND, TEXAS – At approximately 8:45 a.m. on Sunday (July 14, 2024), the Midland Fire Department responded to a travel trailer fire located on the 4100 block of South County Road 1201. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered two travel trailers fully engulfed in flames.
Both trailers were deemed a total loss. Additionally, a third trailer sustained substantial damage due to radiant heat. MFD reported there were no injuries reported in connection with the incident.
The renter of one of the affected trailers is currently being assisted by the Red Cross.
MFD believes the cause of the fire to be an electrical issue.
