  • The cost for testing Total Coliform & E. coli in drinking water is $20 per sample. Testing on non-potable water is $25 per sample.

  • Total Coliform is an indicator bacterium. When present, it indicates that the water tested may be contaminated with disease causing bacteria. Positive results will also be tested for E. coli, a specific coliform which is harmful when ingested by humans.

  • Stop by the lab during normal business hours and pick up sampling handouts, Chain of Custody forms and sample bottles.

  • All samples must be turned in within 15 minutes of sampling OR within 30 hours of sampling on ice. Don't forget to only sample in a City of Midland sample bottle and fill out the appropriate Microbial Report Form.
