Coronavirus Readiness
On March 4th, key city and county officials met to discuss and outline our response to the coronavirus. We urge residents to remain calm and follow these steps if symptoms arise:
- Do not visit hospitals, doctors' offices, or emergency clinics.
- Stay home and self-quarantine.
- Call your primary care physician, or if unavailable, call 68NURSE (432-686-8773).
- Follow medical professionals' instructions.
We are maintaining close coordination and communication with city, county, and state agencies as we navigate this challenge.
Closures and Cancellations
We are carefully evaluating decisions regarding closures and cancellations. While it is tempting to make quick decisions, we will proceed with caution, guided by data and council recommendations.
Moving Forward
Midlanders are resilient and have faced challenges before. We will approach this unprecedented situation with unity, seeking counsel and prioritizing the well-being of our community. Our actions will be driven by West Texas values, aiming to provide a healthy and responsible response to both economic and health challenges.
