Found Pets: What To Do

If you’ve found a lost pet, taking the right steps can help reunite them with their family quickly.

Immediate Steps

  1. Check for Identification: Look for a collar, tags, or any form of ID that might help identify the owner. If contact information is available, reach out to them directly.
  2. Contact Midland Animal Services: Report the found pet by calling or emailing Animal Services. Provide as much detail as possible, including the pet’s breed, color, size, and any unique characteristics.
  3. Visit a Veterinarian: If the pet has no visible ID, visit a vet to check for a microchip, which may provide information to contact the owner.
