Cold weather warming centers are available when high temperatures are not forecasted to hit 40 degrees. Those centers include:
- Breaking Bread Kitchen, 410 E. Florida Ave. (8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday)
- MLK Community Center, 2300 Butternut Lane (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday)
- Salvation Army of Midland, 600 E. Wall St. (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday)
- Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry, 1401 Orchard Lane (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday)
- Midland County Downtown Library, 301 W. Missouri Ave. (10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday)
- Midland County Centennial Library, 2503 W. Loop 250 N. (10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday).
Note: For situational awareness, the Salvation Army will be operating at an expanded capacity. According to Michael Cain with the Midland Salvation Army, the facility can accommodate 150–175 individuals at maximum capacity. Please note that transportation to the facility is not provided. They will offer three meals per day and allow pets, provided the animals remain crated while inside the facility.
