[ARCHIVED] MPD Promotion Ceremony January 30

The Midland Police Department will hold a promotion ceremony on Wednesday, January 30 for eight members of the force.

During the ceremony, the new Deputy Chiefs for Field Operations, Investigative Services, and Support Services will be formally promoted into their ranks. The Deputy Chiefs have been serving in an interim capacity for ten months.

“These gentlemen have demonstrated that they have what it takes to lead. Each has devoted his career to the Midland Police Department, and I am honored to work with such a dedicated, ethical, and hard-working team,” said Chief Seth Herman.

In addition to the Deputy Chiefs, three Sergeants will promote to Lieutenant and two officers will promote to Sergeant.  

The event will take place at the MLK Community Center, 2300 Butternut Lane, at 3:00 PM on January 30. The public is invited to attend.
