[ARCHIVED] MPD to Hold Annual Awards Banquet

The Midland Police Department will hold its Annual Awards Banquet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 27 at Midland Country Club (6101 N.Highway 349).

The banquet is an opportunity to recognize a select group of sworn and civilian personnel for the outstanding job they do for the department and the community.

Award winners are:

Field Operations Bureau:
Supervisor of the year: Kenneth AngellCivilian of the Year: Sherri Fox
Officer of the Year: Taylor WelchRookie of the Year: Will Hodges
Top Gun: Waylon KluttsFitness Award: Joey Garcia
Fittest Squad: K-9 Unit (Greg Chatwell, Michael Nickell, Taylor Welch, Mollie Pehl, Brian Stacey)

Investigative Services Bureau:Civilian of the Year: Beverly Holder
Detective of the Year: Kevin Wolf

Support Services Bureau:Supervisor of the Year: Sherill Bradford
Civilian of the Year: Raul Urias

Chief’s Awards: LaNita Joiner and Clif Sikes; Alfredo Grimaldo and Stephanie Newton; David Scardino; the Directed Patrol Team (Kenneth Angell, Zachary Chesworth, Eli Garcia, Allen Payne, Matthew Sedillo, Reico Patrick); Ronnie Wilson; Rick Gilley; Reico Patrick; Chris Earp and Jason Wilson; Zachary Chesworth

Citizens Appreciation Award: Clint Renshaw

Volunteers in the Citizen Police Academy, Citizens On Patrol and Volunteer Parking Enforcement will also be recognized.
