Citizens are invited to a public meeting to share their memories of the past and their ideas for the future as the City of Midland looks to renovate Dennis the Menace Park.
A brief presentation and interactive open house will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. on June 18 at Elevate Church, 200 Baldwin, located just west of the park.
Dennis the Menace Park is possibly the most iconic park in the City of Midland, with fond memories for longtime Midlanders of their time spent there. With an understanding of this importance to residents, the Parks and Recreation Division is looking to the public for answers to questions such as: What makes Dennis the Menace Park special? How can we meet the latest safety standards while keeping the park just as special to those who are growing up in Midland today?
Consulting firm Parkhill, Smith and Cooper will be present to share existing ideas on what changes are possible for the park and to receive ideas from residents regarding which direction the renovation should follow moving forward.
