The City of Midland has collected this month's sales tax revenue from the State Comptroller's Office.
The total amount of revenue received was $3,695,121.
This month's figure reflects a 16.08 percent decrease, or a $707,861 decrease, from November 2014.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2015-2016 is down 19.63 percent, or a $1,633,154 decrease, from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $8,321,672.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; November collection is based on September sales.###
