[ARCHIVED] Public invited to Christmas Parade in downtown Midland on Saturday, Dec. 12

The City of Midland invites the community to its annual lighted Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 12 starting at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Midland.

The route will begin at the intersection of Main Street and Illinois Avenue and head west on Illinois Avenue, south on A Street, and back east on Wall Street.

Food trucks, vendors, and Santa will be in attendance at this year's parade, which has a futuristic theme of "Into the Future: Christmas 2115." Santa will be available to take pictures with children after the parade in Centennial Plaza.

Parade entry registrations will be accepted until 6 p.m. on Dec. 10, and all floats must be lighted. To register a parade float, please visit http://www.midlandtexas.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=529.
