The City of Midland has collected this month's sales tax revenue from the State Comptroller's Office.
The total amount of revenue received was $2,518,093.
This month's figure reflects a 21.26 percent decrease, or a $679,801 decrease, from June 2015.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2015-2016 is down 19.38 percent, or a $6,664,539 decrease, from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $27,731,079.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; June collection is based on April sales.###
