Parents will be able to have their child’s safety seat inspected and installed by a certified technician with the Midland Police Department from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 27 in the Target parking lot (4001 Midland Drive).
The technician will be able to tell parents if their child’s car seat is installed correctly, whether the direction of the seat should be rear- or forward-facing, and if it's time to provide a booster seat for their child, in addition to providing car seat safety tips. Target will be offering a trade-in deal for parents looking to update their car seats.
Any parents who are unable to attend this event are encouraged to call 432-685-7967 or email borona@midlandtexas.gov to set up an installation appointment or ask any questions about car seat safety.
